Online seminar 13.12.2022 – 15.00 – 16.30

The Competence Centre for Automation in Morocco (CCoA) promotes the dialogue of start-ups and SMEs from Morocco with industrial companies from Germany through online events. The first online seminar on 13 December 2022 will present strategies and best practices of cooperation.

The goal: Promoting cooperation projects

With its renowned universities, its already globally networked ecosystems of start-ups and dynamic SMEs, Morocco offers a rich potential for industrial cooperation. In the online information seminar on 13 December, experts and companies will present how Morocco is transforming itself into a hotspot of industrial development and how companies can successfully cooperate with Moroccan partners. In January, the launch of the bizfit.ma business portal and an online matchmaking with start-ups and SMEs will provide an opportunity to explore concrete cooperation projects. The large talent pool in the field of automation, which the CCoA has tapped with nationwide training measures, gives companies from Germany the opportunity to successfully recruit highly motivated and
excellently trained specialists.

The content: Industrial cooperation with start-ups - strategies and experiences

The seminar on 13 December 2022 will provide information on how numerous internationally active companies are already cooperating successfully with Moroccan partners and discovering potential for R&D projects. For industrial companies, the forms of cooperation
range from classic offshoring to participation in companies to setting up their own subsidiaries, which can then take over tasks in development or cross-national sales in Africa for the parent companies.

On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supports the development of the CCoA through Invest for Jobs – the Special Initiative for Training and Job Creation, which has been active in Morocco since 2019 and supports investment projects by German, European and Moroccan companies with the aim of training more skilled workers and creating sustainable jobs in Morocco. The Graduate School of Leadership and Management at Steinbeis University is the lead partner in the project.

Several German companies from the electrical industry, such as Pflitsch GmbH, Phoenix Contact, Rittal and Siemens AG, support the Competence Center on Automation. The Deutsche Messe Technology Academy organises networking activities of the project in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce Abroad in Morocco.
