Ready for the Future of Manufacturing

The Competence Center on Automation to boost know-how and skills for the industrial development.

Our Objectives: Industrial Knowledge Transfer and job creation

The objective of the Competence Center on Automation is to train young people on the vocational and academic level
in skills required for industrial automation and development. The CCoA will carry out training and further education measures at craftsmen-, engineering and management level. We will organize and coordinate curricula development, trainings, seminars, conferences and exhibitions. The CCOA aims at the creation of new jobs and the improvement of employment-opportunities in Moroccan industries through advanced automation and digitization technologies. Our focus areas are the automotive sector, agriculture and food-processing.

Initiative and Partnerships

On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is supporting the establishment of the CCOA as part of the special initiative Training and Employment. The special initiative, which also operates under the Invest for Jobs brand, has been active in Morocco since 2019 and supports investment projects by German, European and Moroccan companies with the aim of training more qualified workers and creating sustainable jobs in Morocco. Graduate School of Leadership and Management of Steinbeis University is in the lead of the project. Several German companies from the electrical industry, such as Pflitsch GmbH, Phoenix Contact, Rittal and Siemens AG, are supporting CCoA. Deutsche Messe Technology Academy will provide networking activities between companies and knowledge partners as well as conferences.
